SUNDAY EVENING The usual high-class programme will be rendered to-morrow evening at the Majestic Theatre by leading professional artists. The Majestic Lounge Orchestra, under the leadership of Mr Martinengo, will play an overture, “Ruins of Athens” (Beethoven), and an interlude will be given by Jesse Crawford on penatrope machine. May Bain will recite an original sketch and Miss Doris Bayne, mezzo-soprano, will sing “Stride La Vampa,” from “II Trovatore” (Verdi) and “Vale” (Russell). Arthur H. Ripley, the famous New Zealand tenor, will sing “Till Dawn” (Loewe) and “How Many Hired Servans” (Sullivan). A special instrumental section has been arranged for the following leading artists to appear. Maurice Gilman will play a saxophone solo and his items will be “Valse Vanite” (Wiedoeft) and “Ave Maria” (Gounod). Mr. Ivan Perrin, who will accompany Mr. Gilman on the piano will render “Nocturne in B Flat Minor” (Chopin). A cornet solo by Mr. James Gussey will be accompanied on the piano by Mr. Edgar Ber.dall. and thenitems are “The Lost Chord” (Sullivan) and “The Holy City” (Adams). A silver collection will be taken.
