(including Pietro Mascagni’s “CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA”) AUGMENTED CHORUS, As both “Creation” and “Aida” require a large chorus, an attempt is being made this year to bring the strength of ths chorus up to 300 voices. Applications from those wishing to help in these great works should be made to the Secretary, Mr. H. E. Simmonds, Endean’s Buildings, Queen Street, the Conductor, Mr. Colin Muston, Wellesley Street East, or at the Choral Hall, Alexandra Street, on TUESDAYS (the Rehearsal Nights), between 7 and 9 p.m. ADDITIONAL SUBSCRIBERS. An appeal is being made to musiclovers in Auckland to secure 1,000 Subscribers for the Society. This number will enable the Society to do educational work and to maintain a high standard of music in an age of lowered musical tastes. THE SUBSCRIPTION RATES are 17s for Two Season Tickets, 23s 3d for three, 28s for four, 33s 9d for five, 39s 6d for six (these prices include tax). SUBSCRIBERS MAY BE ENROLLED AT KEALY’S, SHORTLAND ST.
