FRIENDLY FEELING
NORTH SHORE TRAFFIC RESIDENTS MEET COMPANY “I ns’' and “outs/’ friends and “foes,” put their heads together at the Devonport Ferry Company’s office in Auckland to-day, and discussed the new North Shore traffic position. Most evident was the cordial character of the gathering, and the friendly and conciliatory spirit of the meeting. Suggestions were freely advanced, and as willingly received. The meeting was called at the suggestion of Colonel Holgate, acting chairman of the Devonport Company. He declared that as a result of unified control of both ferries and buses a more efficient service would be available for the North Shore. “It is clearly seen to-day that better results were obtainable under the new system,” he said. . , Interchangeable tickets, he pointed out, would be a boon to the district. The company at al! times, according to Colonel Holgate, is willing to take the residents into its confidence, and is most anxious to give them the most efficient service possible.
