Ellerslie Quiet Matters at Ellerslie were very quie'. this morning and on account of the heavy rain overnight the only tracks available were the sand and tan. The heavy going saw very few horses going at more than half pace. Riding Engagements The following riding engagements have been made for the Waikato meeting:— R. Reilly, Gold Jacket, Archeno. Quinvardia and Stormfiend. E. Tuohey, Miss Vera. J. Conquest, Miss Spinks. E. Stan way, Kendal and Lady Arch. For Te Rapa Bright Dawn and Dead Sweet were entrained for Te Rapa this morning. A large contingent will be railed tomorrow morning in view of the Waikato meeting cn Saturday and Wednesday. Injuries Only Slight The injuries sustained by E. Stanway when Gold Rain fell with him in the Brighton Hurdles necessitated him spending a day in hospital, but he is now quite all right again and wiil be rising at Te Rapa.
