A PRETTY WEDDING DEVLIN—CARROLL A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Te Awamutu, on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Margaret Carroll, of Hairini, became the bride of Mr. A. H. Devlin, of Ohakune Junction, and recently of the Te Awamutu postal and telegraphic staff. The Rev. W. Butterwortlx was the officiating minister. If your fowls are addicted to eggeating, try soaking an egg in kerosene for half an hour and placing it in the nest. Since adopting this plan I have never lost an egg. * * * * If the windscreen of a motor-car is rubbed with a cut raw apple it will not become blurred. Corks may be made airtight and watertight by keeping them immersed in oil for five minutes.
