HAMILTON HAPPENINGS ' (From Our Own Correspondent.) FRANKTON, To-day. The majority of the candidates engaged at the x'e Ra.pa race meeting on Saturday are not requiring much tuning- up, owing to the racing they have had, consequently little work was done on the track this morning. Most of the visiting horses have arrived, so there will be some fast work to-morrow, and plenty of activity on Monday, before the second day’s racing on Wednesday. The course will be in capital order, providing heavy rain does not fall. Delightment will likely be in some favour locally as he will get the sting out of the ground on Saturday. Ned Kelly galloped five furlongs, hitting out all right, but the time was not fast. Dark Moon was also out. but did not impress with her work, though she is a likely-looking sort. The hurdler, West Abbey, carried a bandaged leg. Paddon was given serviceable work and looks well. A. Tinker will ride Atapai on Saturday. True Blood is a doubtful starter, being engaged at Manawatu. Flying Juliet looks well after her recent racing, and is sure to be in demand for the President’s Handicap.
