INDUSTRIAL WAR
LOCK-OUT IN FRANCE COMPANY'S DEFINITE STAND By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Tuesday. The Paris correspondent of “The Times” reports that demonstrations have been made by workers against reductions in wages. There have also been sectional strikes in connection with which the strikers have paraded workshops singing the “Internationale.” The Citroen Co. has now locked out 10,000 of its employees in various departments. At the same time it announced that the men can resume work on April 28 if no fresh disturbances necessitate a general lock-out of the 30,000 employees of the company. Subsequently the management issued a statement to the effect that it would be impossible to continue operations if Communist workmen wilfully provoked disorders. It pointed out that the present rate of wages was not only the highest the company would pay, but higer than the average Parisian rate. —“Times.” smallest things jar the ILd?htl e e eee
