DECLINE IN HETHERINGTON’S MOANATAIARI'S FLUCTUATING The sharp decline in Hetherington Collieries was the feature late yesterday afternoon and this morning on the Auckland Stock Exchange. A sale was recorded at 4s 6d, and buyers have withdrawn quotations to 4s, while sellers now ask 6s. Banks are dull with New South Wales showing the only signs of activity. New Zealand’s are firm. Miscellaneous are mostly idle. New Zealand Fertilisers continue firm, one %ale being reported at £4 Os 6d. In mining. Moanataiari’s continue to fluctuate, with buyers still well below sellers’ ideas of value. Waihi’s are firm. Kawarau’s have advanced, leaving the market at midday to-day with sellers asking 3s sd, and buyers offering 3s 4d. Government bonds continue in good tone with a hardening tendency for some parcels.
