MUNICIPAL CONCERT

PROGRAMME FOR SATURDAY The musical fare at the municipal concert which takes place on Saturday next in the Town Hall will be drawn from operatic sources, and a fine selection of numbers will be presented by the Municipal Band and soloists, with vocal numbers by Miss Alma McGruer and Mr. A. H. Ripley, with Mrs. Ripley at the piano. “First-time” performances by the band are the march of the prisoners from “Fidelio,” overture “I Vespri Siciliana” and “Cavalleria Rusticana.” Mr. Fred Bowes will give as a cornet solo “Souvenir de Bellini,” and in conjunction with Mr. Maloy the “Miserere Scene” from “11 Trovatore.” Seats can be booked at Messrs. Lewis R.* Eady and Son, Ltd., Queen Street, and early application is advisable.
