CITY’S MOTHER CHURCH
ST. PAUL'S ANNUAL MEETING The year’s report of St. Paul’s Vestry, which was presented to the annual meeting of parishoners held last evening, states that during the year under review the attendance at church services has shown a marked improvement. The large number of men in the congregations, especially at the morning services, is a feature of the general appreciation of the public worship at the church. The high standard of music has been well maintained by the choir, under the direction of JMr. John Tait. It was regretted that Mr. Tait had resigned the choirmastership. Steps have been taken to fill the vacancy. Plans for the Lady Chapel portion of the new chancel, which were prepared by the church’s architect, Mr. Daniel B. Patterson, were on view at the meeting. The building completion fund now stands at £2,360. The general finances are in a sound position. Mr. A. J. Stratford and Mr. E. C. Thomas were re-elected vicar’s and people’s wardens respectively. The officers for the year are:—Vestrymen, Messrs. L. J. Armitage, S. W. Hadlow, E. Hartley, A. J. Horselev, G. E. Jones, W. F. Jeffrey, H. F. Jillings, F. S. T. Little, C. S. Michel and G. J. Miller; hon. auditors, Messrs. G. Cork and E. J. Litt.
