IN AUCKLAND SOME DAY?
There will be approximately 150,000 feet, or 28J miles, of pipe in the plumbing system of the Graybar Building, New York. About 50,000 feet of this will be drainage pipe in the 36 soil and waste lines in various parts of the structure. There will be nearly 40,000 feet of cold water piping of galvanised wrought iron, and even more hot water piping made of brass. The weight of the latter alone will be 100,0001 b. Some of the other items which complete this huge hotel will be about 5,000 feet of gas piping, and more than 3,500 feet of reline piping.
