I am the founder and owner of the Gane Milking Machine Coy., Ltd., of New Zealand; the Gane Coy., Ltd., of Australia; the Gane Importing Coy., of Auckland, and the Gane Manufacturing Coy., of Auckland, besides being an extensive owner of city and suburban property. I pay out in New Zealand alone over £25,000 annually in wages, therefore I claim to have a fair knowledge of both men and finance. I have travelled through every Continent; during 1926 I travelled through almost every European country. I claim, therefore, that experience gained through travel should be of value to the City of Auckland. I am prepared to devote the whole of my time, if need be, to community service. I take an active interest in all clean sport, am a Director of Auckland Y.M.C.A., and represented New Zealand at the World* s Conference in Finland; also a Director of New Zealand Bible Training Institute.
