JEALOUS LOVER’S CRIME TERRIBLE SYDNEY TRAGEDY Bn Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 11.15 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. George Walker, aged 27, and Thelma Hammill, aged 18, were shot dead outside the latter’s home at Ash Held after their return from the pictures. The fatal shots were fired by William Gordon Fuller, aged 24, of Croydon, who afterwards fatally wounded himself. Walker was a cook and had a ticket for the steamer Moeraki in his pocket. . In Fuller’s possession was a New Zealand passport, also a photograph of himself in marine officer’s uniform. The girl’s parents stated that she and Fuller recently quarrelled. Jealousy is believed to have been the motive of the crime.—A. and N.Z.
