ANGLO-PERSIAN CO. INTERESTED AMALGAMATION MOOTED Press Association. GISBORNE, To-day. Mr. Wyllie, the expert retained by the Anglo-Persian Oil Company, who has been making a cor.; preh entire survey of this district for several months, has completed his investigations and has left for London. Tt is imderstood that there is a probability of the Anglo-Persian Company amalgamating with the Taranaki Oilfields, Ltd., contingent on Mr. Wyllie’s report satisfying the company that the prospects of oil being discovered in New Zealand are sufficiently promising to warrant it.
