HOW THE RAW PRODUCT IS TAKEN OFF NAURU Many vessels have left their bones on the rock-bound coasts of Nauru. The cantilever jetty depicted above running right out over the edge of the coral reef is used to load the rock phosphates into the small lighters plying between the freighters and the shore.
