TOWN HALL

MUNICIPAL CONCERT TO-NIGHT Schumann’s quintette for piano and strings, one of the composer’s finest works and considered the best piece of chamber music since Beethoven, will be played at the Municipal Concert tonight by Mr. Cyril Towsey and the Misses M. Stoddart, L. Walls, A. Stevenson and L. Hemus. Miss Ina Thomson will sing songs by Beethoven and Stephenson and the city organist, Mr Maughan Barnett, will play a varied selection of organ works.
