WINTER COURSES

GREY LYNN LIBRARY This course will commence on May 4. Concerts will be arranged by Mr. Walter Impett and Messrs. Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd. The lecture programme will be as follows: Mr. J. M. Prentice, 0.C.8.C. de G., “Some Old World Love Stories”; Mr. J. W. Shaw, M.A., “Pioneers, O Pioneers; New Zealand in the Making”; Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, “The Humour and Pathos of a Parson’s Life in the Australian Bush”; Rev. Jasper Calder, “Evolution.” REMUERA The library course of lectures and entertainments will be inaugurated on May 3 with the Remuera course. This course will be opened with a concert arranged by Mr. Frank Adeane, secretary, Competitions Society, followed by lectures by Prof. R. M. Algie, “Mountaineering and Winter Sports In New Zealand”; Rev. W. G. Monckton, “The Problems of the Day”; Mr. Karl Atkinson, “Gilbert and Sullivan” (lecture recital); Mr. F. W. Reed (Whangarei), “Alexandre Dumas, Maker of Romances.” A concert arranged by Mr. Eric Waters will conclude the course.
