LEVEL-CROSSING VERDICT (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, To-day. The district coroner, Mr. R. M. Somerville, presided at the adjourned inquest into the circumstances surrounding: the accident at Taringamutu, when Mr. and Mrs. McElroy and two children were killed by the Limited express striking their motor-car at a level crossing. The verdict was that the deceased persons were accidentlly killed by being run into by the limited express, no blame being attached to the engine driver. The coroner also added a rider to the effect that motorists when approaching railway' crossings did not take the necessary precautions to observe as to whether trains were in the vicinity or not.
