NEW MINISTER
INDUCTION AT CAMBRIDGE (From Our Own Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE, To-day. On Thursday evening last an induction service—the first in connection with the local Methodist Church—was held at St. Paul’s, when the Rev. J. W. Parker was inducted as minister in charge of the Cambridge circuit. The impressive and appropriate service was conducted by the chairman of the South Auckland District, Rev. W. A. Burley, M.A., Thames, assisted by the Revs. P. R. Paris and A. O. Harris, of Hamilton. There was a large attendance. The induction service was followed by a social gathering in the schoolroom, when the Rev. J. W. Parker and his wife and family were heartily welcomed. The chair was occupied by one of the circuit stewards, Mr. Frank Penn, and addresses of welcome were given.
