FEELING THE STRAIN

MR. BALDWIN RESTS ENGAGEMENTS REDUCED By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Thursday. It Is semiofficially stated that the Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, who has lately felt the strain of his work, has benefited greatly from his rest at “Chequers,” where he went last Wednesday week. He is now restored to health, but for the present he will reduce the number of his public engagements as much as possible.

He will return from “Chequers” next Monday in readiness for the reassembling of Parliament on the following day. Later in the year Mr. Baldwin hopes to fulfil the programme of engagements which has been made for him, including the addressing of meetings in England and Scotland.—A. and •N.Z.
