TAMAKI ROAD BOARD
RETIRING MEMBERS RE-ELECTION NOT SOUGHT The announcement is made that four members of the Tamaki Road Board, the chairman, Mr. M. G. Arthur, an old member, and Messrs P. C. White, F. G. Baskett and A. T. Pycroft, all of whom retire automatically, are not seeking re-election at the polls on Wednesday, May 4. The retiring members have been connected with the board for a considerable period. Mr, McArthur has been connected with the board for some years, serving as chairman for some time. The six nominees for the four vacant seats are as follow:—Messrs. L. E. P.radley, D. Moir, R. Pengelly. J. C. Rowe, G. Cole and R. B. Mason. Messrs. J. W. Carr, F. Barton and J. H. Hubber are the sitting members who will continue in office.
