LEAVES FOR EVE
The flower petal dance frock which has been so popular with the tea dance girl for several seasons past has a rival in the green leaf dress. Made from chiffon or georgette in shades of Nature’s own, this new favourite of fashion has a skirt consist-
ing entirely of long-pointed leaves arranged in layers one above the other. A particularly attractive frock of this order had a long-waisted, tight-fitting bodice of gold shot-green tissue, the skirt being fashioned from leaves of green chiffon, a bunch of which were also arranged upon the left shoulder. In many instances, however, the green leaf dress is made entirely from whatever diaphanous material is used for the skirt, with a very plain bodice of similar stuff. Especially attractive results are obtained when several shades of autumn toned chiffon are used for making the leaves of the skirt of this sort of dance dress. By using a variety of tones and cutting the leaves skilfully, it is possible to create a dance frock which seems to hold a considerable amount of the magic of the woods in autumn.
