A Service, commemorative of the New Zealanders who fell in the Great War will be held on MONDAY, April 25, 1927’, at the Town Hall, Auckland, at 11 a.m. The Service will be conducted by His Worship the Mayor of Auckland, presiding-. His Grace the Primate and Archbishop of New Zealand, the Most. Rev. A. W. Averill, D.D. The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., M.C., former Chaplain of the Forces. The Rev. E. E. Bamford, former Chaplain of the Forces. Doors will be open at 10.15 a.m. for admission of next-of-kin who, upon application, may obtain admission tickets to the gallery from the Secretary. Returned Soldiers’ Association, Soldiers’ Club, Customs Street East. Seats will be reserved for ticket-holders until 10.15 a.m. when the public will be admitted. The Ground Floor will be reserved for Returned Soldiers and Veterans. A Parade will take place from the Queen’s Wharf to the Town Hall, and Returned Soldiers are earnestly requested to take part therein. CENOTAPH, TOWN HALL.—Citizens may deposit floral tributes at the base of the Cenotaph in front of the Town Hall, and such tributes will be taken to the Soldiers’ Memorial at Waikumete. After the conclusion of the above Service, the ceremony of depositing the Official Wreaths at the Cenotaph will take place. Seats, not exceeding 100 in number, will be placed within the Cenotaph enclosure for the use of elderly Mothers of Fallen Soldiers, tickets for which may be obtained from the Secretary of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, or the Hon. Secretary, Southern Cross League. WAIKUMETE CEMETERY.—A Service, presided over by his Worship the Mayor will be held at the Soldiers’ Memorial, Waikumete Cemetery, at 3 o’clock p.m., when the Rev. Angus Macdonald, Chaplain of the Forces, will deliver, an Address. Prior to the Service the Wreaths from the Cenotaph will be placed on the Memorial.
