WAITEMATA CLUB The Waitemata Golf Club shows signs of returning to something like its departed glory this season. For several seasons it has been drifting, but an energetic committee this year has expectations of a good season. The opening will be held with the usual mixed foursomes on Saturday. The course is in excellent order, particularly the greens, while the mowing machines have vastly improved the fairways. The committee has decided to extend the membership, so that players desiring a course near the city will have an opportunity of joining one. The officials this year are: President, Mr. R. I). Wynyard; club captain, Mr. Gainor Jackson; secretary, Mr. K. A. Kennedy.
