ALL BLACK FOR AUCKLAND
If Lance Johnson, who was recently transferred from a wellknown Dominion commercial firm in Hastings to Auckland, is able
to remain here, He will consider a b I y strengthen Rugby football in Auckland. Vice-cap-tain of the All Black team which visited New South Wales in 1925, the then Wellington player had to give
way to Cooke, Nicholls and Sheen last year; but as a member of the all-conquering Hawke’s Bay team late last winter he played some great games in the South, and many good judges ranked him at the end of the season as the best first five-eighth in the Dominion. Johnson has joined up with College Rifles, and he and Sheen should make a great pair in this season’s games.
