Newton Central School. —The new Newton Central School, which was recently completed, was officially opened by Mr. A. Burns, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, this afternoon. The building has been in use since the reopening of the school after the Easter vacation. The erection of the school has been necessary owing to the demolition of the Newton East School in Belgium Street. ‘The new school comprises five classrooms, and is built in brick, with a tiled roof.
