Dunedin's Bus Revenue.—The Dunedin City Council’s bus revenue for the last year was £16,166, and the expenses £15,232.
Anzac Day.—ln accordance with the requirements of the Licensing Act, all hotel bars will be required to close all day on Monday, Anzac Day.
Message Picked Up.—A bottle containing a message cast into the sea off the Japanese coast 11 years ago was picked up by Mr. Wallace Gordon, of Opotiki, and forwarded to Japan. He lias been thanked for his action.
Mistaken Identity.—A man answering to the description of the missing prisoner. Raymond Whitting, was detained by the Lyttelton police. It turned out that they had got the wrong man. He said he was destitute. and accommodation was found for him for the night.
Opotiki Motorists. —The annual meeting of the Opotiki branch of the Auckland Automobile Association elected Mr. E. E. Chapman president, vice Air. F. J. Short, who retired owing to illhealth. Appreciation was expressed of help given by Auckland officers. '
