The Rev. H. A. Coleman, vicar of St. Aidan’s Church, Remuera, will leave on V«ix months' visit to England on Sat?rdav next. During his absence the iev P- T. Williams, formerly warden St. John’s College, will have charge nf the parish. Mrs. Coleman will not accompany her husband, but will regain with friends at Patea. A farewell will be tendered to Mr. and Mrs. Coleman in the parish hall this evening.
A rearrangement of control of the health districts administered from Auckland has taken place on account of the absence of Dr. T. J. Hughes, irho has been granted six months’ sick sa ve. Dr. Chesson. medical officer of ?alth at Auckland, is administering -,e central Auckland district in addion to North Auckland, while Dr. W. 3. Mercer, of Wellington, has taken r,erthe South Auckland and Coroman?l.opotiki districts. Dr. H. B. Turott, of Dunedin, has been appointed issistant medical officer in succession :o Dr. R. J.
