WEDDING TIME
EASTER AT CHRISTCHURCH (.Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Easter-time is wedding-time at Christchurch. The registrar’s weekly average of licences issued for marriage is 20, yet for the period immediately preceding Easter, from April 11 to April 16 inclusive, 53 licences were issued. For the two weeks before that there was also a busy time with licences intended for use at Easter. Christchurch marriages are usually favoured at Easter, and from April 11 to April 16. 14 only were performed by the registrar. He usually does the job about four times a week in the normal season for marriages.
