“NO! NO! NANETTE!”
AN IRRESISTIBLE COMEDY Another packed house greeted the presentation of the irresistible comedy, “No! No! Nanette,” at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, and laughed its way through three hours of clever song, story and fun. Miss Elsie Prince, as Nanette, simply captivated the audience with her striking personality, sweet voice apd ability. Mr. Jimmy Godden is something quite out of the ordinary and -raises hearty laughter
with Yiis original whimsicalities. Pie and Mr. Charlton Morton, the second mirth-maker, are a clever pair v*ho, although before the footlights a great deal, could appear even more often. A feature of the production which has captivated Auckland is the ballet work and the dancing of Miss Alma Mackie, Miss Phyllis Du Barry and Mr. Roy McDonnell. This delightful comedy is a treat, and no better evidence of its success is needed than the spontaneous applause which each night greets the company.
