“COULD HARDLY STAND"
DRUNKEN MOTORIST FINED CAN’T DRIVE FOR A YEAR “Whose car were you driving,” “My own.” “Well, you won’t drive it again for 12 months!” This conversation, which took place in the Police Court this morning, was the outcome of Constable Collins, of Panmure, finding John Buckley trying to crank up his car outside a local hotel while anything but steady on his pins. “He could hardly stand,” said the constable. “It was fortunate lie wasn’t driving it,” said Mr. Hunt, S.M.. and he Buckley £lO, and cancelled his license for a year.
