FOUND ASLEEP IN A SHED MAORI AND FINN Wilhelm Bach “vos der all right,” he sai.d. when he was charged in the Police Court this morning with being found without lawful excuse in a shed of the Fletcher Construction Company in King’s Drive. Hori Wereta, a Maori, who was also found asleep in the shed, with Bach (a Finn), stood beside him in the dock. They told the police that they had lost ail their money at the races. The Maori came from Wanganui, and the Finn from Rotorua. Mr. Hunt advised them to go back where they had come from. Bach had a job to go to to-morrow, he said, and on condition that he went to it, and Wereta back to Wanganui, the magistrate convicted the pair and ordered them to come up for sentence. “If you haven't got that job by tomorrow, vou will go up for a month,” Wilhelm was warned.
