INVESTIGATION URGED Press Association. NAPIER. To-day. The Labour Conference decided to urge the necessity for a Royal Commission to inquire into and report upon the timber industry with the object of protecting timber workers’ families, even to the extent of an adequate tariff or subsidy, with safeguards against exploitation.
