Mr. John Farrell will leave for the South by the Limited this evening to make arrangements for the “No, No, N'anette” season in Southern centres.

Mr. E. Casey, Divisional Superintendent, North Island Railways, will leave for Wellington by the Limited Jhis evening on official business.

Dr. C. J. Reakes, Director-General ff the Department of Agriculture, arrived in Auckland tills morning from Wellington. He is to accompany the .Minister of Agriculture on his inspection of Purewa state farm.

The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. O. J. Hawken, will arrive from Wellington to-day by the daylight Limited. He will stay the night In Auckland and proceed to Whanjarei to-morrow to inspect the State farm at Puwera.

Dr. Chesson is acting medical officer of health at Auckland in the absence ©f Dr. Hughes, who has been granted *ix months’ leave of absence owing to Jll-health. Dr. Chesson has taken over charge of the Central Auckland district in addition to the northern area. Dr. Mercer, who has been controlling the South Auckland area, is now also responsible for Opotiki and Coromandel.

At present staying in Auckland in the course of a nine weeks’ tour of the Dominion is Mr. A. L. Haddon, who was recently appointed principal of the Bible College established at Dunedin by the Associated Churches of Christ of New Zealand. Mr. Haddon. who is an M.A. of the Melbourne University, with Honours in philosophy, and also a graduate with honours of the Iris College of the Bible, Melbourne, is 32 years of age. He was recently director of the young people’s department of the Associated Churches of Christ of New South Wales, and while in Sydney was president of the New South Wales Council of Religious Education and a member of the executive of the Students’ Christian Movement. When he left for New Zealand Mr. Haddon was also president of the New South Wales Christian Endeavour Union.
