RAILWAY NOTICES. MEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS OBSERVANCE OF ANZAC DAY—25th APRIL. ON SUNDAY, 24th April, usual 7.10 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. Express trains will leave Auckland for Wellington and usual 7.15 p.m. Express train will leave Wellington for Auckland. MONDAY. 25th APRIL (ANZAC DAY). The ordinary time-table will be suspended with the following exceptions:— Usual Express train ex Wellington arriving Auckland 9.34 a.m., WILL run. Usual 7.10 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. Express trains will leave Auckland for Wellington and usual 2.0 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. Express trains will leave Wellington for Auckland. The usual Sunday services will run between Auckland-Otahuhu-Papakura and Auckland-Henderson-Swanson. In addition a special train for passengers attending the Commemoration Service at Waikumete Cemetery (Glen Eden) will leave Auckland 2.0 p.m., Newmarket 2.9, Mount Eden 2.16, Mount Albert 2.28, Avondale 2.32, Henderson arrive 2.55 p.m. Return train leaves Henderson 4.15 p.m., Glen Eden 4.30, New Lynn 4.38, Avondale 4.45, Auckland arrive 5.15 p.m. These trains will stop where required for passengers. There will be no trains to and from Helensville. On TUESDAY, 26th APRIL, the usual 3.15 a.m. Thames-Frankton train will cccanoc N ZEALAND RAILWAYS. AVONDALE RACES AT APRIL 23 AND 26, ELLERSLIE, 1927. HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS, available for return until Wednesday, April 27, 1927, will be issued to Auckland and Racecourse Siding from Frankton, Glen Afton, Waiuku, and intermediate stations on Saturday, April 23, and from Frankton, Waiuku and intermediate stations on direct line of route, on Tuesday, April 26, by trains due to arrive Auckland not later than 12.0 noon on both dates. These tickets will NOT be available by, and will NOT be accepted on any of the UP Wellington-Auckland Express trains, or by the 7.10 p.m. Auckland-Well-ington DOWN Limited Express train. Return tickets to the Racecourse, available on day of issue only, will be issued on April 23 and 26 from Auckland and Newmarket. Fare Is 6d (rail only). Single tickets only will be issued from the Racecourse, with a minimum fare of Is. Free passes, privilege, Tourist, season and commutation tickets (Reporters’ tickets and passes held by members of the Legislature excepted) from any station will NOT be accepted at Ellerslie Racecourse. Passengers travelling from Auckland and Newmarket to the Racecourse by any train timed to stop at the Racecourse Siding must hold special race tickets. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. On Saturday, April 23, and Tuesday, April 26, trains will leave Auckland for Ellerslie Racecourse at intervals as required from 10.15 a.m. until 12.13 p.m. and at 12.40 p.m. (Saturday only), 1.16 p.m. and 2.15 p.m., returning at frequent intervals after last race. Special race trains will not stop at Remuera or Green Lane. The usual 9.5 a.m. Papakura-Auckland train will leave Papakura at 9.40 a.m., arriving Auckland 10.50 a.m. The usual 4.5 p.m. Auckland-Helensville train will leave Auckland at 6.0 p.m., Newmarket 6.10 p.m., Mount Eden 6.1 S p.m., Helensville arrive 5.20 p.m. On Saturday, April 23, the usual 6.3 S p.m. Helensville-Kaukapakapa train will leave Helensville at 8.26 p.m. and the usual 7.5 p.m. Kaukapakapa-Helensville train will leave Kaukapakapa at 8.53 p.m. The usual 5.44 p.m. Auekland-Papatoe-toe train will run through to Papakura, arriving there 6.52 p.m. The usual 7.5 a.m. Huntly-Glen Afton train will leave Huntly 6.10 a.m. The usual 8.15 a.m. Glen Afton-Huntly train will leave Glen Afton 7.15 a.m., i Huntly arrive S.O a.m. (connecting with • 7,18 a.m. Frankton-Auckland train). A special train will leave Huntly for Glen Afton at 8.55 p.m. (after arrival of 5.25 p.m. Auckland-Frankton train).
