Willis, Minister of Labour, will probably be asked to hand in his portfolio as a member of the Cabinet in the course of the next few days. Mr. J. T. Lang, the Premier, subsequently addressed the Australian Labour Party Conference convened by Mr. Searle. He bitterly attacked Communism and on his suggestion the conference carried a resolution stating that no member of the Communist Party was allowed to be a member of the Australian Labour Party.—A. and N.Z.
