A FORTUNE MAKER
CLAIM OF “NO! NO! NANETTE!”
“No, No, Nanette!” at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening delighted a crowded house of eager pleasureseekers and provided compensation for the passing of the autumn holidays. It is a bright musical comedy built round Joseph Coyne’s famous laugh-getter, “His Lady Friends.” The spirit of the show is given to perfection in one of its many lilting songs—“l Want to be Happy.” That was the mood of the great audience, and a treble demand for more was the reward of the singer. A rich vein of comedy has been discovered - by Mr. Jimmy Godden, who
works it to marked advantage. And Miss Elsie Prince, dashing, athletic and melodious, could not be otherwise than a popular favourite. The chorus is lavishly frocked. If you want to forget hard times, spend an evening at His Majesty’s with the merry players in a fortune-making comedy.
