ELLERSLIE “JOB”

TOBACCONIST’S SHOP ENTERED

Some time during Saturday night or Sunday morning the premises of Mr. E. C. Martin, tobacconist, Ellerslie, were broken into and goods valued at approximately £4O were stolen. The haul consisted of tobacco, cigarettes, shaving gear and valuables. Entrance was gained by forcing a back window -which opened into a billiards saloon. From here the intruders forced the lock off a door leading into the tobacconist shop. The shelves of the shop were thoroughly overhauled, the thieves helping themselves to the bL<st of the goods on the premises.
