“KID BOOTS”

When one says “Ziegfeld,” gorgeousness and dainty bits of femininity come to one’s mind, and with due justification, as is the case in ‘Kid Boots,” Paramount’s picturisation of the popular musical comedy, which comes to the Regent Theatre on Friday next. Eddie Cantor is seen as “Kid Boots,” the mistreated caddie who falls in love with a flapper swimming instructress, who is none other than the eaucy Clara Bow. Lawrence Gray is the handsome young juvenile and opposite him we have the charming Billie Dove, a quartette which should make any picture delightful.

Eddie Cantor, known in America as the cyclone kid of comedy, is just a sympathetic fellow trying to get along He does, and falls in love with the young flapper. And the course of true love runs as true as the darned thing ever did. You will laugh till your sides ache at this farce. “Kid Boots” is a tale of golf and matrimony, two subjects that are always a source of merriment to those not actively engaged, as you will find out when you see this picture.
