DETERIORATED PROPERTY DAMAGES AWARDED Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. Reserved judgment in the case Riddiford and others v. B. C. Lysaght was delivered by the Chief Justice. The plaintiffs claimed £1,025 damages through defendant allowing a farm leased to him to deteriorate and for failure to comply with the terms of the lease. His Honour Mr. Justice Skerrett awarded £125, including £SO for fencing, £2O for repair of a bridge, and £SO for failure to keep down fern, etc., by suitable grazing, and gave judgment for the defendant in respect of the claim for damages for cutting and removing timber, and in respect of noxious weeds.
