Pogson-Smith and Miss Clarke defeated Sherwell (Australia) and Miss Valantine, 6—4. 4—6, 6—4, in the final of the mixed doubles.—A. and N.Z. Pigeon Flying Race. —The Ellerslie Pigeon Flying Club’s one-bird race from Hunetrville on Friday was won by Mr. J. Shiel’s b b c Aussie Moonrise, with a velocity of 1,260yd5. a minute; Messrs. Irving and Don’s m c Awindue, 1,257yd5., 2nd; Mr. McEvoy’s r c c Good Friday, 1,246yd5., 3rd.
