TRAGEDY AVERTED
ENTOMBED MINERS FREED By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright NEW YORK, Thursday. Owing to the collapse of the roof in a coalmine at Henryetta, Oklahoma, this morning, 23 miners were entombed. A rush of water into the workings from a flooded creek followed, and it was feared the men would be drowned. However, communication was established w'ith the entombed men and it was learned that all were safe. They were marooned above the water. This evening the whole of the men wrere rescued. —A. and N.Z.
