Here is a thing that bothers me, A thing I want to know: Whenever a new moon appears, Where does the old one go? The sun we see in summer, We see in winter, too, And no one’s ever heard to say It’s either old or new. Now should you think the little stars That shine so bright and high Are just the old moon cut in bits And thrown up in the sky?
