BOY IMMIGRANTS

THIRTY FOR NEW ZEALAND REV. FRANK HARTY'S WORK (From Our Otcn Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The Vicar of Frankton, writing to a correspondent, says he is leaving London by the Remuera on May 6 in the official capacity of instructor and chaplain from the Church of England Empire Settlement Organisation, in charge of a party of thirty public schoolboys who will be met in Auckland by the representative of the society and placed in positions in various parts of the Dominion. During Mr. Harty’s vacation *in England he has been very active in spreading propaganda in connection with the scheme of industrial organisation. He expects to arrive back nt Frankton about June 11 to resume his duties as vicar, after a year’s vacation, which has apparently by no means been a period of rest, as for the past six months he has been doing parish work in one of the east end slum parishes of London and carrying on with his industrial work at the same time. He mentions in his letter that he is in good health and is looking forward eagerly to the enjoyment of the sunshine and fresh air in New Zealand, which will be a great contrast to the foggy atmosphere and dismal povertystricken surroundings in the east end of London.
