“CITIZENS’ ” CANDIDATES The following statement was issued by the Citizens’ Progressive Election Committee this morning: “As there seems to be some misunderstanding in regard to the signing of pledges, the committee wishes to make it quite clear that no pledges are now asked for, or expected from, retiring members of the council seeking re-election, or new aspirants, who are supported bv the committee.”
