Reed. 10 a.m. Belsa. a Spanish thief who was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for stealing a motor-car, was being taken to prison in a van. When passing the open door of the Palace of Justice, Belsa whispered enthusiastically to tne warder, “What a pretty girl!” Being a Frenchman, the warder looked sharply round but there was no pretty girl to meet his eye. When he looked back there was no prisoner either.—Sun
