j-f-Kir Press Association. —Copyright Reed. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Wed. There were extraordinary scenes in Stockwell Street, Glasgow, when a tram collided with a distiller’s lorry, bursting five barrels of whisky. The contents streamed down the roadway and scores of men and women rushed to fill bottles and cans, while others kneeling lapped up the liquor. Many soaked and sucked their caps and handkerchiefs.—Sun.
