PERSONAL. —Captain C. W. Cumming recommissioned the Arapawa yesterday and has the following officers with him—Messrs. H. Mann, chief, and J. Farrell second. Mr. B. F. Fisher joined the Marama yesterday as second officer. FROM THE ISLANDS. — The Union Company advises that the Island steamer TofLia leaves Suva at four o’clock this afternoon for Auckland, where she is due on Monday. CARGO FROM NEW YORK.— Advice has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Arracan has been replaced by the Maimyo, which now lea.ves New York at the end of May for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. RARANGA SAILS. —Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Company advises that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga, which left Auckland this morning for Port Chalmers, Bluff and Nelson, returns here early in May for loading Homeward cargo, and is scheduled to clear Wellington finally on May 19 for London via Panama. TAIROA TO LOAD. —To commence loading for Home the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa leaves Townsville about May 20 for Opua and Auckland. Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Company, who are the local agents, advise that her other loading ports and her departure date from New Zealand have not yet been fixed. TAINUTS PROGRAMME. — Now loading at Lyttelton, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the liner Tainui leaves on Monday for Timaru and Wellington to complete. She is announced to sail from Wellington at daybreak on May 4 for Southampton and London, via Panama. HORATIUS TO COMPLETE.— Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Company reports that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Horatius, at present loading at Wellington, leaves there at daybreak to-morrow for Gisborne and Auckland to complete. She is due here on April 20 and sails finally from this port on April 23 for* London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. HURUNUI TO LOAD.— The N.Z. Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Hurunui left New Plymouth yesterday for Opua and Auckland to load further cargo for Home. She is due here next Tuesday and sails again on April 23 for Napier and Wellington to complete. She is scheduled to clear Wellington * finally on May 4 for Avonmouth, Glasgow, Manchester and Liverpool, via Panama. CROSS KEYS IN PORT. —An arrival at Auckland last evening was the American steamer Crosskeys from Pacific Coast ports. Pratique was granted this morning, but owing to her steering gear breaking down she was unable to come alongside. As soon as the repairs are carried out she will berth at the Central Wharf. For this voyage the Crosskeys loaded at Vancouver, Seattle, Aberdeen, Eureka, San Francisco and Los Angeles and departure was taken from the last-mentioned port on March 17. On the run down the Pacific good weather conditions were experienced. Captain H. A. Johansen is in command and has the following officers with him: Chief, Mr. G. Anderson; second, Mr. W. C. Murray; 3rd, Mr. K. A. Mortensen; chief engineer, Mr. R. J. Shields; second, Mr. Wm. Stevenson; 3rd, Mr. J. H. Wood; fourth. Mr. J. L. B. Snyder; radio officer. Mr. C. E. Kilgore. Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane, the local agents, hope to dispatch the Crosskeys next Wednesday night for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Melbourne. PORT HACKING TO LOAD.— The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Hacking left Port Kembla on Monday night for Bluff to commence loading for London. The vessel will afterwards lc&d also at Timaru and Lyttelton, and to sail finally from Lyttelton on April 27 for London via St. [Vincent.

MAH AN A HOME. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company has been notified tby cablegram that the Mahana arrived at London on Monday evening from Lyttelton. The vessel sailed from Lyttelton on March 3.

FROM CALCUTTA. —Cabled advice has been received by the Union Company that the Sussex, from Calcutta, cleared Rangoon on Sunday morning for Penang and Singapore. She is expected to clear Singapore about Saturday for Samarang and Sourabaya and will sail thence for Townsville, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland about May 2. GOOD FRIDAY EXCU RSION.— The Northern Company’s steamer Waiuku is leaving at 9.45 a.m. to-morrow, Good Friday, on an excursion to Waiheke via the bays, returning at six o'clock in the evening^ NOBEL’S AUXILIARY SCHOONER. —The Nobel Company’s auxiliary schooner Plri leaves to-morrow with a cargo of timber for Sydney.. After discharge she proceeds to Melbourne to load explosives for New Zealand.

FORT OF ONEHUNGA. DEPARTURES YESTERDAY RARAWA, 3.50 p.m., 1,077 tons, Bark, for New Plymouth. The Rarawa is expected from New Plymouth at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow, and leaves on Monday on the return trip. NGATIAWA BAR BOUND. —The Northern Company’s steamer Ngatiawa was delayed at Hokianga yesterday through the bar being unworkable. It is expected that she will be able to get away this morning and will then be due late to-night, or early to-mor-row. She leaves at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Raglan and Kawhia. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE— The following vessels are expected to be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night and to-mor-Auckland.—Thursday only: Atholl, Orama, Baron Ardrossan, R. J. Hanna, Canadian Scottish, Raranga. For Thursday and Friday: Tofua, Niagara, Diomede, Hinemoa. Sonoma, Marama, Waikawa. For Friday only: Port Denison, Kartigi.
