ELECTRICITY SERVICES

POWER IN WAIKATO (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. At the monthly meeting of the Waikato Central Electric-Power Board yesterday, it was decided to extend the service lines to Huntly. The engineer's report stated that the 11,000volt line had been completed as far as Ohinewai, and the wiring of the section was being proceeded with. The low tension poles had been erected in the township, but low tension wiring had yet to be done. Repairs and extensions had been carried out where necessary. The board decided to reduce its meter rent from 10s to ss, involving an annual decrease of £750 in revenue.
