“PATH TO POWER” PAMPHLET SELLER FINED £lO Walter Hodgson, who was charged on April 6 with selling a document. • The Path to Power”—which allegedly encouraged violence or lawlessness, or expressed a seditious intention, contrary to the War Regulations Act—was fined £lO by Mr. \Y. R. McKean in the Magistrate's Court this afternoon. •The pamphlet is published by the Communist Party of Great Britain.” said Mr. McKean in the course of his judgment. “To attain its ends the Marxian principles of class struggle are advocated and the pamphlet is really an open declaration that the ends of the party are to be obtained not by any peaceable or constitutional means, but only by forcible and violent overthrow of the existing social order.”
